Christi Johnson

Christi has been a NICU nurse at Children's Hospital in MN since February 2015. She loves going to birthday parties (AKA deliveries) as part of her role in the NICU. The Baby's Breath trip in 2024 will be Christi's 7th trip to Guatemala teaching the Helping Babies Breathe curriculum. She has a Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education and Early Childhood Special Education, as well as a Master of Nursing. Christi's previous career was an early childhood special education teacher, deaf adult basic education teacher, and a DeafBlind intervener (just like Anne Sullivan). Christi loves dancing and is a Zumba Instructor when she has time. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, and backpacking.

Mary Langfeldt

Mary recently retired after a fundraising career at Catholic Charities, which supplies the basic needs of food and shelter to folks in crisis. She sees Baby's Breath as addressing an even more fundamental need – the gift of breath itself. Mary feels it is a privilege to support an organization that offers lifesaving training and resources to babies in need.

Cecilia Rosales Reed

She is a medical doctor, born and raised in Guatemala. Currently living in Minnesota with her husband Tim. She and her family have been involved with the Baby's breath project since the early stages. She is very passionate about maternal and child healthcare and this project has always been very close to her heart, since it is saving babies' lives in her home country, Guatemala.

LeeAnn Krueger, RN

LeeAnn is a retired nurse who worked for 37 years in the NICU. She has been participating in Baby's Breath trips since 2010, initially teaching at Roosevelt Hospital and later instructing midwives in the Helping Babies Breathe program.

Jeffrey Oseid, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Oseid is a retired primary care physician residing in Minneapolis with his wife, Professor Julie Oseid. They have three grown children and one grandchild, all of whom live in Minneapolis. Dr. Oseid's interest in the Babies Breath Project originates from its local roots and his deep admiration for the remarkable, dedicated nurse educators who make the project so impactful.
